Pedagogical Transformation and Teacher Learning for Knowledge Building: Turning COVID-19 Challenges into Opportunities

This paper reports on the continual effort of Knowledge Building Community (KBC) connecting teachers within and across schools for knowledge creation community building during COVID-19 disruptions. During this crisis, around world are challenged with issues implementing online learning. Three areas misalignment were identified: disjoint in learning home-school separation, piecemeal technologies to mimic physical teaching, disconnect between teacher professional development classroom practices we discussed emerging realignment efforts transformative Through analyzing three case examples how responded challenges inter-related curriculum, pedagogy, technology community, identified several themes alignments conducive pedagogy through advancement. These include: innovating practice centrality ideas; perceiving as pervasive; use technology, symmetrical advancement knowledge. show that these disruptive times, more actively new supported by dynamics systemic processes KBC. Consequently, interactions stakeholders shifted from disjointed relations different hierarchical levels a networked people, ideas, resources, continually advancing their knowledge-building challenging times.
